What speeds are you getting if you download a reasonably large file, say from
www.bbc.co.uk or
www.microsoft.com ? I say these two as they are usually pretty fast servers so any delays should be down to NTL/your connection.
Also, are you running any type of firewall. If so, make sure this isn't blocking required packets as this could result in poor page loading speeds.
Finally, quite a few people are experiencing loss of pages due to problems with NTL's proxy servers (including myself). I've now resorted to specifying a non-NTL proxy in my connection settings thanks to the guys on this forum. Might be worth trying.
