Each octet of the ip address can go upto 255 and I think the gateway is usually 254. the x.x.x represents the first three octets of your ip address for example if ure ip address is 62.11.29.10 then ure gateway is probably 62.11.29.254
unless you are absolutely sure you know what u r doing with your router then get a second opinion before taking my advice. Obviously if you know what u r doing and u try setting the gateway and subnet masks to the value i suggest and they dont work u can remove then and still get back online 
i am not an expert just an experienced user
you should find the gateway and subnet mask somewhere though in ure routers config or status pages
I've included an attachment of my router config page which shows the subnet mask and and ip address. ive removed my ip address for obvious reason

Thanks stamp92, I was thinking the same way, tried it but lost internet connection, reset to dymanic IP and all was ok.
Will try again an reboot my pc to see if that helps, thanks again.
