Interesting, I don't get the same problem on my 9800pro, sounds like something to do with hardware accelerated cursors, used to happen on Freelancer (until they fixed it in a subsequent driver release). I always follow (the very long winded) uninstall/reinstall procedure on Rage3d (which I usefully can't find anymore), not had a problem since.
