The argument I mentioned goes like this (may help if you look at it with your head on it's side) :
As someone who could never buy a copy of photoshop, adobe will never get any money from me. Therefore if I get a free copy, adobe haven't lost any money because they would never have got any money from me. Yes it is wrong because it is illegal, but adobe has not suffered a theft.
I'm not going to argue the semantics of this, it's not what the thread was about, my final comment is that if you can't afford something then either you don't have it or you buy the same item second hand, you can't compare copyright infringement and media theft to building a car that looks like a porsche. I'll start another thread about it though, I don't want to just attempt to cut you off and tell you that you're wrong.
