It is completely possible to bypass all of the stuff on the CD but you will still need to "register" the modem on the network by going to the registration site.

I don't have the full addy handy but I'm sure someone will oblidge if not I will go check and post it back in a few OK. (The address should be in the booklet that was sent though)

EDIT: Ahhh I see Ian has already posted the link to the site with all the detailed info on doing a manual setup so many thanks Ian.
