It is probably likely that the majority of DS members use NTL so that would give them an advantage if the members using NTL voted for NTL.

it reminds me of those cat food adverts - the one where they claimed "8 out of 10 cats prefer wiskas" - this slogan had to be changed when they found that the people who were surveyed were only people that had actually purchased wiskas! ie. they cleverly asked their clipboard people to only interview people who were walking out of the supermarket with wiskas in their trolley!
so the slogan was changed to "8 out of 10 cat owners who expressed a preference said their cats prefered it".
so your Broadband survey is probably meaningless unless you survey only people who have experienced at least more than 1 broadband supplier - otherwise they are voting for NTL or whoever because they are happy with it rather than because it is the best they have experienced.
