Address to send payment

I owe ntl some money on my old account from Stafford. I'm just about to pay it, and the address I have to send the cheque is a PO Box 174, Camberley, GU15 3GW. Is this correct?

No, it's not. Unless someone from CS pops up to give you another address, send it to Customer Payments, ntl, Wharfedale Road, Winnersh, Wokingham RG41 5TZ.

hth :)

Can anyone confirm? It's not that I don't trust your advice, orangebird, but I've had issues with this before. I send a payment to an address they give me with my bill, they cash the cheque but refuse to acknowledge that I paid the bill.

No probs. Ring 0800 052 2000 and they'll confirm where you should send it to. :)

Is there any chance you can pay by Debit Card? Then you don't need to worry about where to send the cheque. You can do that just by calling 0800 052 2000 - and you save the cost of a stamp then, too.

Worthing.... I can't find any site at all for ntl in Worhing on our site lookup.

Just wondering too - does it matter whether the account is an original ntl or ex co-co account?....The reason I suggested Winnersh is because I know there is a payment centre there, it's also the old head office and still a call centre for all the old ComTel franchises in the 'South' region which Staffordshire was one of..

Either way, if you can pay by switch then that would be easier, but even if you do pay by cheque, as long as you keep a record of when it clears your account, surely that's proof of payment to ntl?

Re: Address to send payment

payments don't go to ntl sites afaik they go to payment centres which are usually run by a third party. Payments go to different payment centres depending which system the bill is produced on ALL stafford bills are on sabs and sabs payments go to worthing

If you sent the payment to Winnersh it would take longer to reach the account that they are paying

I've tried calling the 0800 number to pay by card, but if I choose any of the billing options I get a loud engaged tone. It's annoying enough being kept on hold for hours, so I'm damned if I'm sitting there redialling.

Panic over. I got through on the 0800 number (eventually) and paid up.

I'm now free of ntl! With any luck, I need never have any direct contact with them again. Thanks for all your help guys.
