Unofficial e-mails being sent to some ntl customers - BEWARE.
Posted by nthw.info / 7. March 2004, 11:40 There has been a spate of bogus e-mails being sent to ntl customers, that claim to be from ntl. We strongly advise everyone to be extra careful with such e-mails that apparently have an attatchment that is almost certainly to be a virus. NTL do not send e-mails out with attatchments and never usually sign off their e-mails with the Ntlworld team. If you receive such e-mails and you are in any doubt whatsoever, you should ring ntl I recieved this mail at the begining of Febuary before deleting it I sent it to NTL warning them that it looks like people are trying the same bank scam on NTL customers it has taken over a month for them to react to it. Im sure im not the only person who recievec this and reported it. I wounder how many people opened the attachment???? |
