600kbps 256 Upload?

Im currently on ntl on the 600k broadband and a few days ago i uprgaded to 1mb just for the 256 upload, i dotn really want the extra downstream, but is there any way of like having the 600 with 256 upload, as the uplaod is what i really need?

adsl has more upload and 512k download as I understand it. I didnt realise 1mb got more upload, makes it a bit more reasonable. I'd prefer more upload too, even if I had less dl

I limit any one program to 9k and find its ok then, otherwise it all clogs up

if you saturate your upload it will kill your download :(
