What router do you have?

When attempting to access the router are you typing in http://192.168.1.1 as that should get you access, probably need to type in a password like admin or something similar.

Are other webpages ok on that PC?

On my Belkin router, I have locked access to just two i.p addresses. If you have done the same and your PC has changed its IP address that could cause these problems.

On my Linksys I find at time I can't access webpages and all it requires is that I press the 'reset' button on the front of the router. Have you anything like that?

You haven't chosen a proxy server in the LAN connections have you?

I found that I couldn't access my Linksys router when this was selected. Unticking the box enables access again.

Failing that I would reset to factory settings if this isn't the problem

Seems a bit extreme to format the drive and re-install just cos it came up with that. Why didnt you just change the IP on one of the pc's or set both to get an IP via DHCP and make sure your router was set to assign via DHCP?

My thoughts were the same as Kaos, the other PC lost or had a conflicting IP address. Just open a dos command prompt and do an ipconfig /release then ipconfig /renew.
