Slow Internet???? North West Area
I have been on BB (600k) for about 6 weeks now and all of a sudden it has gone real slow. I mean real, painfully dial-up slow. I have to wait a good 30 secs for a bbc homepage to load (try it, its not me)
Any ideas why this has happened, is somebody running Kazaa or similar on my "exchange" / area???? Cheers Ian :) Just noticed TV has gone all "BAD VCD Quality" ie Picture is blocky, bad stream etc, this only happens throught the set top box, If I go to ITV on the telly, its OK, go through STB and its cack.  :spin: Cheers in advance |

Welcome to NTHW Acenorth.
Sadly that sounds like it's going to be down to a technical fault with the cable itself so going to need an engineer to fix so CS should be your first port of call. That said it's worth checking through recent threads as lots of tips for improving the speed if its down to one of the DNS or Proxy issues. |
Re: Slow Internet???? North West Area
Change your DNS settings thats the problem up here NTL dns servers
have a look here we dont have proxy problems in the north west:) |

Naa nothing to do with anyone using kazaa, my internet has gone REALLY slow past couple of days (North West area also), this happens from time to time, do what th'engineer says and change dns settings, wouldn't worry too much, it doesn't tend to last long :) |
