NTL free digital TV offer - what are the terms and conditions?

Hi

I recently read in a newspaper and offer for free digital TV for NTL customers who have their telephone line. We are on Talk Weekends and thought we would qualify so I telephoned Customer Services. The lady who answered said that as we were existing customers we would have to pay £25 for installation. There was no mention of this in the small print of the advert. It said "available to new and existing customers. There will not be any charge for the TV package as long asyou continue to pay for your phone line. £25 standard phone installation charge applies to new customers and existing customers who are adding a phone line". As I already have a phone line surely I should not be required to pay £25.

I also asked if I could have an "analogue bypass" as recommended by a friend to enable us to tape terrestrial channels at the same time as watching digital and she said this was not possible.

Please could someone clarify these two points?
