Remote control problem

My remote control is faulty and after phoning ntl they want me to pay £15 to replace it. Do anybody know how to get a free one of them?

Thanks in advance.

Hi they shouldonly charge you if it is faulty:tu: They will send you a new one and you send the old one back

Thats correct Ned,as long as you send the old 1 back and it has not been eaten by the dog or ran over by a steam roller it will get replaced free of charge.

'ned' is usually correct for our area, people like him are rare & I, for one, have nothing but praise for his approach to his job.

I've been trying a Tevion remote that allegedly 'learns' ntl remote commands, but it was only £5 and is a bit 'intermittent'

just tell them that it was working fine, then it stopped working, it hasnt been dropped, attacked by a dog etc youve tried replacing the batteries but still no joy, and they should send one out FOC.

If you were able to help here, I'd be grateful if you could do the same for me. My remote went mad a couple of days ago, & I'd like to avoid having to speak to customer services (shudder) if possible....& avoid having to pay as well :)

Re: Remote control problem

I am afraid you willhave to call cust serv .As i said before there is no charge for the remote if it is faulty .Customer serv and faults are the only people to send them out:) Unless you see a tech in the street he might give you one depending on his stock
