Ambit USB cable modem on linux

Hello,

Having recently moved onto a KNOPPIX LINUX o/s [and being a total noob at linux], I am hoping that someone will be able to help me with the installation of my AMBIT USB CABLE MODEM onto a linux operating system.

With windows it was easy peasy...but I have absolutely no idea how to go about installing a modem on a linux os.

So any advice, or tutorials, or instructions would be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

JW

Best bet would be to use Ethernet, assuming your computer has one (most modern ones do)
