Wireless cards
Hello
I need some recommendations on what wireless card to get. I need one that has a very good range because I am trying to connect to my uni network but with my current card it can only detect the uni network but not connect. When I use my sister's laptop with a built-in wireless it works fine. Any recommendations on which wireless card to get? Oh the wireless card needs to be one for a laptop. Thanks for any help Oh and I don't mind usb ones either but from experience they are not as good... |

i guess another question to ask would be where are you accessing the wireless network from - on campus? |
Re: Wireless cards
Thanks for the replies. I only have usb ports and 2 of those pcmcia slots. Not sure what a mini pci slot is but don't think I have one and there is no aerial around the screen. I am trying to access the network from my accommodation. I am not sure where it is coming from but I can connect with my sister's laptop and my friend's laptop which both have wireless built-in. So I know that it is possible to get a connection. I just want a card that will connect so I can use my own laptop. I guess I will just go out and buy some cards to try out. If they don't work I will get a refund on them but hopefully at least one will work. Just seeing if anyone here knows of any cards that are really good for range.
