Recording BBC Radio from the Internet

Specifically, I'm after any free software that would allow recording of BBC Radio 3 Internet brodcasts. There was a short thread earlier this year but the suggestions were either criticised (Streambox) or not free (Total Recorder) or I suspect (after a quick check of their site) not usable with BBC radio (Streamripper).

Get Audacity from Download.com (it's free) then enable stereo mix recording from the volume control in Control Panel. Then you can record any audio playing, then save it (you'll need a free plugin to export to MP3 though).

Or from the horse's mouth:

:)

I've been using it for years. It's highly recommended. :tu:

Thanks, that was quick (and showing the correct time, as well :)). I've got Audacity, so it looks like I'd better start reading the Help file there.

Shame it only streams at about 50kbps off the website - the quality does leave a little to be desired.
