Need help from an ntl employee.

I'm having trouble accessing my BB webmail.I'm positive I've got the right email address and the correct password. However I keep getting a message that either my user name or my password is incorrect. Can anyone help me?

I did used to get it downloaded into OE but after this last wipeout of my data and the number of times OE has peed me off I'd decided not to bother with OE anymore and stick to webmail. However I've not been able to access this particular email inbox.

Sigh!!

Thanks in advance.:tu:

I'd recommend using gmail as it's far more reliable. And you can also collect your gmail with Outlook express and other pop3 clients.

Is there a message appearing at the very top of the screen in times new roman saying something like "mailbox unavailable" or "unable to connect to message store" ?

But Coggy is using her ntl email, so that's what we need to deal with here.

Thanks Russ.

I do actually have gmail but this is an email addy that I only give out to family and I want to check it as it is the one that came with my BB.I have another NTL addy from dial-up days that I use for business and online ordering which I can access just fine.I know that there are some maintainance on ntl's BB currently taking place nationally(according to the status page) but why would that affect only this addy.I've not been able to access it for 10 days now.

Interesting, I had something similar happen, recently, where the addy associated with my dialup account, (which I changed to 'payg', when I got broadband), no longer works with outlook express or webmail. I had assumed it was because I haven't 'dialled up' for so long, & the account had lapsed, even though I had been reading mail on a daily basis.

I'll be interested to hear how you get on....

Thanks to Marge who seems to have the magic touch. After not being able to get into my inbox even with the correct password, today I can finally find out what was in the box.

What ever you did shifted something..:tu: :cleader:

I have a similar problem - can't for the life of me remember my password. It was set up on the pc through outlook, but the pc is out of action and hence I've no idea what my password is to get in to my email. And it will be suspended or bursting... If anyone can help me, I'd much appreciate it.

You'll need to call CS as they'd have to confirm security details with you.
