Non-Geographic numbers. (0845/0870 etc.)

From memory NG1 is 0845 and NG3 is 0870.

Got charged 10p per minute on Virgin Media phone for a call to NG1 number.

I suppose the insurance company concerned made their cut out of it.
Wouldn't mind but the call would not have been nec if the online form had been clear and comprehensible.
And the young call centre worker was clueless.
Total waste of time and money.
Just another rip-off scam by big companies against the consumer.

Thats why I use http://www.saynoto0870.com/ to try and find an alternative number that is geographic i.e 01733 - Peterborough, as these calls tend to be in your free call package.

Will save you a bit on an 0845 number, but not much, unless the normal geo numbers are part of your package at the time of the call.

0845 is 10.22ppm
Standard calls are 9.94ppm
