Proxy server madness
 

If I don't specify a proxy server in IE I can log into Yahoo! but not access any profiles, including my own. If I specify a proxy server I can't log into Yahoo! but I can access profiles. I also can't access individual user statistics for SETI. This seems to have started in the last week or so - might be related to the recent system maintenance. They usually mess something up :rolleyes: It's annoying cos I have to keep switching between proxy and no-proxy :mad: No mention of any problems on the Servers Status Page. Other people must be having problems?

Have you tried a different proxy? Have a look on here, there's a Web Proxy section with a link to a list of proxy servers.

Will give it a try. Never had to specify a proxy until now :( Summat is broken somewhere (again).

Like wise I have found that to be able to access my Yahoo profile I had to specify a proxy, tried a Swansea one, rather than my auto Notts one allocated to me.
Wish I had looked here first before sending a message to Yahoo complaining I could not access/edit my profile.
I wonder how long it will be before things are back to normal.
Whatever normal is meant to be where NTL are concerned.

I'm at the stage where if something doesn't work I go straight to the server status page because 9 times out of 10 it's NTL :)
