I have had the internet since about 1990 and this is my first post anywhere.
Below is a copy of my personal tvdrive blog which i started cos telewest said there were no notes on the account for any problems i had reported. i have also attatche a few pics. For all the help TW CS are i may aswell talk to the dog. Withotu reading threw it throughly i am jsut comment on basic of wha ti seen.
Most of th rpboelsm you ahve said you ahve had are common problems that they know about and are tryign to fix apparntly, we do get code drops ever now and then adn some thigns get fixed other get broke again. This is not me saying you shoudl lvie with it jsut so you know it probally have been passed on cause they know abotu a lot of the problems |

1st sep - 12.30pm, green sparklies/ interference, rang CS engineer due at 2. 14.00, engineer arrived, he been at his sisters round corner for a brew before coming. confermed virgin now own 51% TW/NTL and rebrand will be taking place said green pic problem cos i use RGB and not composite, told me not to use composite. he has same problem at home, i refused and demanded a Dolby box, which i got. Also said the black screen were cos of network upgrades at backend. WN2 WN7 WN6 etc all being changed to there own fiberoptics bla bla... he has same problem Strange then that all the recordings ok even when the screen goes off... AND unknown what problems have been fixed in 30th Aug06 update Obviously ive not recorded or logged every little reboot or fault, they r to be expected. but i am gettin p'ed off with this. I wouldnt even say i was a high user, i never watch live tv. (cant stand ads) Just the usual soaps. Kids watch kids tv noprobs (except causes me probs when the channels go off air).. Shame, cos when it works its great. |

It's all them soaps your trying to watch. lol... What you were told about RGB and Composite,,,,, well lets just say; that particular engineer dosn't know what he's talking about. There are loads of Software issues here and, I'm still waiting for the fix too. Judging by all the pixelation you are getting, has TW checked the Broadband line circuit, from the Head End to you house? |

I wish I'd kept a record like this, I can only remember key dates (i.e. calling Telewest) and the date I sent off letters.

I have only had a few missed recordings at the start (mid feb), only issues i have is sometimes after a reboot i get the sparkles but fixed by turning off and on again and also the long winded switching from scart to hdmi when it should just flick over rather than having to flick onto the hdmi channel click on the menu and then click back on the other agree that u have seen the image and to flick back to the hdmi again to finally watch.
also the ability to change the screen size, and also archiving to dvd when it does letterbox mode, apart from that i dont have any other issues with it, |
