Code Drop?

My TVDrive box rebooted at about 10pm on saturday evening, (aug 19th). Then again shortly afterwards. Would this happen as a result of the box getting a code update, or is it more likely to be a fault. It hasn't rebooted of it's own accord since, as far as I know.

Cheers

I recently gave up noting the self reboots but before I did, I noted 2 for that Sat also.

How did you get on Friday (25th) ? I woke up to a frozen box :erm: with one red recording light on (nothing was recording)? I rebooted manually. I wonder if Sky+ users have same probs?

Sky+ users don't. But that's not the point as it isn't a competing system

Sky HD users, however......they have huge problems. Just as many as TVDrive.

Problem still exists - happened at 10pm last night while I was watching a recording. 90 mins into a 2 hour film - had to reset box and fast forward back to where we'd got up to!

Grrr!

Not here in Croydon. Where are you? No probs for 48 hours now....though I woke up to it making a wierd faint rhythmic grinding sound - like a washing machine in the distance (if you've ever run a washing machine in the distance or might not relate?:erm: ). Anyway, that stopped as soon as I turned the box on. I think it's just plain moody and sulks when I'm not around.
I've two colleagues at work who got Sky+. One's had it for 2 years and never had a problem and one got installed last month and, again, nothing like the problems Telewest seem to be having. Is there a list anywhere of known faults and progress? After sticking with Telwest through the 'underdog' years, I'd hate to give up in favour of the Murdoch Empire but at the end of the day...

I'm in Gravesend, not too far from you. It had been fine for the past few days, maybe because the little 'un hadn't been watching Nick Jnr?

Hi,
I think the faint grinding noise is the disk on the tvdrive performing some defragmentation type task - I've had this on the three tv drive boxes. I find it normally happens around 11:30 in the evening or up to a minute and also after you put to box on standby. I have spoken with Telewest CS when I had this on the first box, all they did was send me an engineer who just replaced a the tv drive.

You have to compare TVDrive with SkyHD not Sky+.

SkyHD has a lot of problems at the moment...or so I read.
