Ntl have mis-sold me a phone packge

sorry am a newbee and posted it on the wrong forum previously so here goes....

Hi Everyone,

Just wondering if anyone has been mis-sold anything by ntl. I have been with ntl for about a year now and i have recently discovered that ntl have mis-sold me a phone package (i Guess i should have looked at my bill a bit more carefully)

basically as it turns out - i wanted cheap calls to ireland and was told that one the talk unlimited plan they would be 2p per minute to the Republic of Ireland - cool.

At first i didnt use the phone much and therefore didnt notice, however i have used the phone a bit more - only 9 calls though...it turns out they are charging me over 10p a minute off peak.

I phoned the customer services but they cant give me any info because their 'systems are down'

Has anyone else had a problem like this? if so, any helpful info about what i do now?

Cheers

T

:welcome: to the forum.

Sounds like NTL have you on the wrong package. The best thing you can do is to phone customer services and get them to put you on the right package. Looking through their site, you need to either be on Talk Unlimited or have the International Calling Plan added to your account.

Skype is free, or you could both pay £20 for a Tesco phone, then that's free!

obviously dont know your account, but it sounds like you were on talk unlimted which used to include the international call plan.
since the 1st june the international call plan has been removed from all the talk plans. all you need to do is to call CS and add it back on.

£7.99 a month and calls to the ROI are FREE. :D

I'd highly recommend them - their service really is great. :)
