Pre-N card causes machine freeze

Anybody out there with the same experience as me ? I installed a new Belkin Pre-N router and then proceeded to install the card in a PCMCIA slot. At the point where the setup routine asks for me to insert the card, the computer completely freezes. When I withdraw the card, the machine goes back to normal. It does not seem to be an IRQ conflict as I eventuially put my old 11b card into the same slot and it worked fine. I have a Toshiba Satellite, about 3 yrs old running on XP Home.

Thanks for your greetings. Nice forum by the looks of it. I see from the Tosh website that several updates are available, but which one(s) would affect the installation of this card. BIOS update perhaps ?

OK I'll try those later. Won't do any harm. Many thanks.
