Some info on the £30 package - I'm paying £60!

HI

I wondered if anybody could enlighten me on this £30 NTL package if possible. It's the 1 Mb's BB, Tv & Phone for £30, is that correct?

I currently have 1 Mb's bb, Tv & phone plus the family package. Looking at that cheaper package I could be saving money but would that package apply to me as an existing customer?

I have been with NTL for around 5 years.

As far as I'm aware it is matey. Just give customer care a call - 0845 454 0000. It won't be £30 because it's 1mb broadband, base pack and Talk Weekends - not what you have but they should be able to help you!

GOOD LUCK!

I think this applies to new customers only. It appears you just missed out as I signed up for the same package for £33 in April via the existing customer page, as it was a deal they were doing at the time. Just looked there now and its been withdrawn. So unfort I dont think you'll be able to get it now. However doesnt stop you trying....

I wish I had known about that beforehand.

Druchii, I see where you are coming from. I like it and will give it some thought. :)

That's great news for me Chris, thanks. :tu:

I am wondering though, will I get charged a month in advance when I change to that package even though it's what I have now but for less?

You should be able to get the 3 for £30 pack and pay just £8 to upgrade to Family pack.

I phoned NTL and found that they were most helpful. The lady said that as I was on the value tv pack I should be getting an £8:50 discount each month which will bring my bill down to just over £50, as I had the 3 way calling removed too. I am on the £39:99 package.

Also she has back dated my discount from last february so I'm well pleased. :tu:

Glad to hear that you have had some success on this issue and that the person the other end of the ntl line was most helpful.....

I phoned during the week and got a great discount on my current package, I'd feel greedy if I asked my discount to be backdated!? But my bill is presently £100 - which I really can't afford - having to evacuate the flat during the week due to drug dealers and guns. joy...
