Can Anyone at NTL help!

Hi everyone, NTL at it's best here.

I moved home 2 days ago, and engineers came yesterday to transfer all 3 services. I couldn't keep my phone number, so they assigned me a new one. I live at no 49 on my street, and it turns out that they've cut off the guy at no 32 and given me his phone number. I have called CS, faults and home movers and been shunted all over the place. I had to hang up one call after home movers said they were transferring me immediately to another department but left me on hold for 25 mins and I had to go into a meeting. After that I called CS and went back through to home movers after 40 mins on hold, then spoke to a guy, who said he'd look into it, and put me on hold. On hold for 5-10 mins when I got cut off.

I am absoluetly furious with NTL and their sheer ineptitude to do customer service with any kind of skill and intelligence. I know some NTL guys come on here, so if someone can point me the right direction without a 40 minute wait I'd be ever grateful.

I do have an email address for home movers, but something tells me that would be pointless... am I right?

Thanks all.

Oh dear it sounds like installs have got it wrong:mad: The best thing to do is to lodge a complaint with C/S .Also use the resonce tek service on the ntlworld home page its under tell us what you thinkAlso the person whos no.you have should call in and say his no. is off and if you ring faults and say youve got the wrong no. they should send a tech out  This can not be done over the phone

Thanks guys, but NTL seem to have sorted it, in that I have a new number, but I'm not too sutre about the fella who was disconnected. I spoke to CS last night who told me to lodge a complaint which would mean I would be contacted by an area manager with 48 hours. I got a text today (no phone call from Area Manager) saying an engineer would be visiting tomorrow. Then I got a phone call fro my wife not much later, saying the phone rang and she got the "your new number is... " message. What will be interesting is when my bill and the other guys bill arrives. The CS told me he'd put a discount on there for a few months, so we'll see.

Thanks for the replies so, much appreciated.
