A rant

Okay what the hell is wrong with NTL? I switch bank accounts, use my new bank's account switching service, all the companies involved with the standing orders and direct debits have been great gone without a hitch.

Guess which company have messed up?

Does NTL actually respond to requests from banks to change a customer's direct debit details? From now on I'm paying via giro bank credit, because I know NTL will try and continually take money from the incorrect bank account.

But that will cost you an extra £4.00 a month, thieving ntl

You'll be better off phone CS, and paying ntl for the privelidge of doing so :( to tell them once and for all to get the DD right.

For the sake of balance Sky charge £4.00 / month for non-dd payment. ntl used to charge less but in the name of the almighty £ increased their charge to match ;)

change of direct debit details is usually done electronically so its unusual for the details not to update......may be worth a quick call just to find out if they have been changed

For something like that I would hazard a guess and say you would be told to call CS anyway... its only a 1 minute task to do once you're through
