G2 not +1

Just been channel hopping.
G2 and G2+1 are broadcasting the same programs at the same time. :confused:
This happened before or is it a one off.

Anyone know what the point is of them doing this? They only ever show the matches BBC1 are showing at the same time.

Licencing stuff.

Why didnt they just cut the feed to UKG2+1 when the football was on for each match?

I dont know how the EPG is programed but it must not be that hard to have it change the name of the football programs on G2+1 and show a splash screen explaning the issue?
