Problem in ST16 (reboot behaviour)
 

You know the score. Cable modem resets itself for no apparent reason, then you wait for the right-most LED to stop flashing so that it syncs once more. Start playing an online game only to find that the cable modem resets itself again. 2 more minutes of gaming activity and the modem resets AGAIN!

Sounds like there is a problem on the line. My PC being connected or not connected to the cable modem is irrelavent.

Are there any diagnostics that I can carry out to locate where the fault is?

Post code is Stafford, ST16, Corporation Street.
