Modem not supporting 10MB and DNS Issues

Can any tell me which cable modem supports the 10mb service?

Currently have a Blue Terayon cable modem, as we have been with NTL since they were in our area...

We are paying for the 10MB service, however we are only getting 5MB speeds, so it doesnt seem worth paying the extra £10 a month for something we are not getting...

Also I have read a lot of problems to do with NTLs DNS servers and popular websites not working, has this increase in problems been since Virgin ADSL customers started using NTLs DNS servers for their service aswell?

Thanks

Virgin customers have been using ntl's network for years- at least 3 anyway.
