Lexcom Home System

Hi All,

About to move into a new house (woo:p: !)....

I've been told Its got a Lexcom system preinstalled: http://www.squared.co.uk/SquareD/Eng...sp?ts=12182240

As yet, I understand its basicly for distributing tv and network.
Has anyone had any experience of this setup, and how it works etc?

Re: Lexcom Home System

hi
having lexcom prewire in you home means that you can have it installed without nocking holes in you walls ect
the cables are in but to make it active you will nead a second fix done, this means that the sockets and modular are fitted.
some systems also incude speakers built into the ceilings and walls but again only prewired.
lexcom is a system where you can plug in a tv, computer, hifi, and security camera anywhere that a socket is fitted, and because all the systems use the same conection in this system it doesnt mater where you plug it in.
sometimes they also have a system for operating lights as well,
if you have the full system you can operate the lights, tv, dvd, and stereo from 1 remote control, you can watch a dvd in the bedroom or kitchen with only 1 dvd , no need to move it. likewise with the stereo.
to find out more details you will need to contact the installer, or the building site to find out what it has been prewired for,it could be the basic kit or the complete system, then chose what you would like installed,
alteritively contact the company i work for ,they may be able to help
AST HOMENET on 01249758313
whoever done the prewire is the best person to talk to as they will have drawings to show exactly whats there and where it is,you will have to give the adress of the property

Many thanks for that.

I've been trying to get through to the installer with no avail - I suppose if he is the only one with the plans I will just have to try harder!
Having a look at your site - do you sell the dongles for the Lexcom?

Thanks again.

Ben
