SACM being installed tomorrow...

Hi there.

We're having a SACM installed tomorrow so we can get most of the full potential of our 10MB broadband. (we hope.. lol)

However i am not going to be there when the engineer is arriving (other family members will be at the house though).

Is there anything we have to make sure the engineer does before he leaves? I heard some stuff about making sure he leaves the pin or something?

Also is there any idea of what modem we will be receiving?

regards:

Jake

You will be getting an NTL:250 modem(the little blue one). I'm not sure about the other info as it's been years since i first got my BB. In fact my modem came through the post and it was upto me to get it up and running.

Its very easy really, and the username and pin should arrive on the welcome letter.
But they normally write it on the front of the book they leave with the disk :)

You won't get your username or pin from the engineer!

You will end up having to call customer services to get it!

The engineer should have the pin number as it quoted on the job sheet for him to give to the customer. The username is chosen by the customer when they register for the service so in effect it is just the pin number needed to register.
