Crazy Ping
 
I live in the Cheshire and i was playing My Game this morning after about 20 minutes of playing Guess What Pings went up to about 500

Im on a 1MB Line and i was wonder what is ther Problem?

Any Would would be great

I live on the Wirral and my ping goes mad around midnight most nights for the past week or so. I also have lots of errors when I check the log on the STB (pg up, pg down then blue on the remote). Im not sure if its due to the speed being increased but im gonna leave it for now as im goin on holiday to spain on tuesday :) hopefully when I get back I will be on 4mb and the ping problem will be sorted.

More information would be great...

Set top box? Cable modem? Which game? which os? usb/ ethernet? router? one of problem/ recurring? etc etc

The more info given the easier these things are to diagnose/ fix!
