more info on the usb stick can be found here

http://www.kworld.com.tw/uk/index_digital.htm

it says If your OS is MicrosoftÂÂÂà ‚® MCE 2005, you have to use Media Center
Edition 2005 Certificated graphics card.)

Well, that psisrndr.ax file is a part of Direct X by the look of it. You could try reinstalling that.

Apart from that i havent a clue mate.

Also try Start->Run dxdiag to make sure all your files are OK.

Just my IDEA
Windows Media Center will NOT allow just "ANY" TV Card/USB Device, You need a MCE Approved One. (I used to work on MCE)

So either look on eBay for MCE TV Cards (PCI) ones. Or Get XP Not MCE, :disturbd:

Yeah but it shouldnt crash on attempt, most just wont show, and youre perfectly able to use an incompatible TV Tuner and its own software on MCE as its just XP Pro with extras :) And I beleive Dilligaf has this device :)

It says on the specs (If your OS is MicrosoftÂÂÂà ‚® MCE 2005, you have to use Media Center
Edition 2005 Certificated graphics card.)

how could i work around this ?

but there website also says

The most exciting thing is KWorld DVB-T355U Dongle is compatible with Windows Media Center Edition (MCE)! Besides, KWorldDVB-T355U Dongle bundled with DVB-T PLUS, which allows you to pause live TV and continue from where you left with the Time-Shifting function. Moreover

Yeah Jedi has the answer. The stick you bought doesn't support MCE. If you have to use USb then send it back and try one of these http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/85336/rb/19539438770
Edit: hmm yeah is does say it supports it. What graphics card do you have? ATi by any chance? Have you tried updating the drivers for your card using the latest MCE drivers?

right , first up, that file is BDA MPEG2 Transport Information
Filter,0x00600000,1,0,psisrndr.ax,6.05.0001.0900

so the good news is, its using BDA drivers as default and thats good.

forget about MCE and use any No. of 3rd party apps that can work with BDA such as
http://jtvlan.netsons.org/howto.php
to control WebScheduler and stream the raw .ts over the lan to any VLC PC or even Xbox.
http://www.digtv.no-ip.com/webscheduler/

use XMLTV GUI Grabber http://www.birtles.org.uk/xmltv/ to get your tv listings, run the app and copy the data.xml into the \WebScheduler\data\xmltv\ dir and point your browser to
http://192.168.0.whatever:8429/servl...aRes?action=16
change the file source to data\xmltv if its not already and submit.

if you intend trying to see the world cup in the HD BBC/ITV/C4/channel5 trials then your going to need a really good CPU and copy of the new MBAFF enabled CoreAVC AVC/H.264 decoder soon to be released and a monitor able to display the x1088i output or perhaps one of those 'HD ready' GPU's with the right connector to a HD ready TV.

see http://forum.digitalspy.co.uk/board/...&page=40&pp=25 for were we are all hanging out trying this new HD stuff.

if your not within range of the london trial transmitters than the only other option is a DVB-S(2) card or perhaps a DVB-C card if your in the NTL/Tw bit and getting the down converted
(and hence loosing quality) to mpeg2 .ts.

---------- Post added at 19:24 ---------- Previous post was at 19:16 ----------

ohh and the card is listed here
http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php...pe=post&id=9766
but like i said forget MS and use something far better and 3rd party.

ohh and make sure you use the cards drivers and not any drivers than MS might try and
make you use in the auto install bit.

use http://www.eecs.umich.edu/~balazer/H...2_v1.11.87.zip
to edit your saved .ts files and convert to dvd compatible mpeg2
or just use VLC and/or MPC to play the .ts direct.

Re: Dvb T Freevieww Pc Stick Heeeeelp Please

But what if he wants to use MS (some do!)? Still doesn't solve the fact the product should work with MCE and doesn't.

Re: Dvb T Freevieww Pc Stick Heeeeelp Please

i was under the impression i would just plug this usb stick and it would have its own interface to watch tv ?

true, but as i said , BDA drivers means many 3rd party apps will work with it, so use one of them to get it working for normal DVB-T tv .ts then perhaps it can be sorted for the
MS stuff, its well documented that many MS drivers knobble these BDA DVB-T cards in some way, due to the fact that the MCE stuff was written for the US IPTV markets and needs serious re-writes for EU hardware etc.............

get it working with WebScheduler and see were he stands then.

Hi silly.
the DVB-T PLUS sounds like your default TV app
so yea, in that sence you can just plug it in and use it, the tv app that is, it seems you may have installed the MC drivers
rather than the default drivers that came on the cd, you tryed my option yet?.

im off to other thinks soon so be quick :)

Re: Dvb T Freevieww Pc Stick Heeeeelp Please

Personally, I would start again from the beginning.

i.e. uninstall all software & hardware associated with the DVB-T stick.

Reboot the computer & then re-install the software on the cd.

Then, assuming Paul is in a Freeview ok area, plugging in the stick should initialise the DVB-T Plus program, which should then run through the channel search routine.

If the DVB-T Plus software isn't kicking in when the stick is inserted, then I'd assume the software isn't installed correctly.

I don't know anything about 'media centre' editions of XP, but I imagine Paul would have had other problems if his graphics card wasn't compatible with the OS - in fact he mentioned that installing drivers for the USB stick stopped him being able to 'play live TV', so I guess he already has a media card installed, and is trying to install the DVB-T stick, as well???

I'm thinking you should install the drivers first - then plug in the stick ???

- obviously, I'm happy to be wrong, because I don't have the same kit ;)
