SCR Files, Where Where Where

Where do i put my .Scr files in XP?

I cant find the location for them to work with my screensaver. :monkey:

Re: SCR Files, Where Where Where

i believe they go in c:\windows

Re: SCR Files, Where Where Where

start - search .scr

or c:\WINDOWS\system32

or c:\WINDOWS\Resources\Screensavers

Re: SCR Files, Where Where Where

Yep, like HM says, those are the usual places... although I believe you can right-click to install a screensaver from any directory and it'll get registered to wherever it was (which is fine as long as you don't change the location at a later date ;) )

Re: SCR Files, Where Where Where

gone to C:\Windows\Resourses but theres only 1 file in there and that says Themes. I click on that i get a lot of folders each with Windows Visual Styles and Windows Theme Files.

:O\

Mine (WinXP Professional) are all in Windows\System32... have you checked there too?

Also, have you got "Hide certain file types" or whatever it's called disabled?

Scrub that last bit, I just checked and it still shows .scr files even with that option enabled.
