hi Simon :welcome:

Very strange, I have a Linksys router enabling internet access for 2 desktop computers & have never had a problem, such as you describe.

- personally I would try again without the MAC cloning, it shouldn't be necessary with a cable modem :)

Hi Simon :welcome: to the forums

Try resetting it to factory defaults and see if it works.
Which Linksys router have you got I have had two one wireless and one not both worked fine.

Have you updated the firmware on it at any point and put the wrong one on?

If you give details of which router and what has been done we could help more.
