1mb NTL Broadband

OK - I have 600K connection at present - Is the extra £10 per month worth it for the 1mb service?

Yes - I know i'll hit the cap quicker - but as noone seems to have had a letter etc. then so what!!!

My weekly download totals for the past few weeks have been:
18.27gb (guess there's some PC-PC traffic here!)
1.16gb
3.29gb
950mb
5.71gb
1.05gb
300mb
679mb
910mb

I would probably download more but get fed up of waiting!

its very much worth it if you intend on downloading large files or indeed if you want to get your files quicker the speed is fantastic

i have had 1mbit since day 1 almost of its launch and id never drop to 600k unless the price went up

like kronas says, it all depends on how much you plan to be d/l'ing.... i have 1mg, but rarely use the lot....but then i get it cheap anyway :)

I have always been happy with my 600k connection. Sure it takes a bit longer to get stuff but if I want something I just leave it going overnight and/or while I am at work.

The only reason I would consider moving to 1 meg would be if you are intending to download DVDR size files (4.5Gb) which take about 20 hours for me on 600k. It would be nice to get them in 12 hours but not nice enough to pay an extra £120 per year

I had 1meg so my lad and i could both game on line. He got so fed up of it he got his own adsl put in. Ive not gamed in the last 6 months or so because of it, ive downgraded to 600k and although its still pretty cr@p, its cheaper. So no, i wouldnt pay for 1meg, 600 is fine, sort of. ;)

I have the 1 meg service and it rarely slows down, I have never had a speed test drop below 1000. :D

You should at least get 120kb/sec using 1meg

Get 1Mbit if you want to down faster simple :p

Forget the cap its not even worth worrying about and at 115k/sec it can't be bad :p

Thats if you wanna spend the extra tenner a month
