TVDrive External Connectivity

I had TV Drive fitted last week and so far all looks ok, as I was at work the dorris was at home for the install, so i did not get a chance to speak to the engineer.
I looked at the back of the Box and was impressed to see the optical out can make good use of that I think, I also noticed that there was a USB port and SATA port which isn't referenced in the manual. I have noticed that some one has said that they believe you can connect an external disk to the SATA port but has any one trie it? if so did it work and also can you then read the files on a PC? I am thinking of this purly for the reason of transfering the recordings to the External HDD and then burning them on to DVD on my PC. does any one know if this can be done or not?

cheers
Andy

The SATA & Ethernet ports are not yet in use apparenty.

I *think* you can get your recordings off by connecting a DVD Recorder via Scart (Movie Channels are encrypted from memory so you won't be able to transfer those if you have any.
