Ok I am on 10meg broadband and suddenly i've started getting crap as hell speeds (i used to get the full 10meg constantly). I have tried proxy hopping and this is the best one i have found and this is the speeds i am getting:
1st 512K took 1235 ms = 414.6 KB/sec, approx 3416 Kbps, 3.34 Mbps 2nd 512K took 734 ms = 697.5 KB/sec, approx 5747 Kbps, 5.61 Mbps 3rd 512K took 672 ms = 761.9 KB/sec, approx 6278 Kbps, 6.13 Mbps 4th 512K took 828 ms = 618.4 KB/sec, approx 5096 Kbps, 4.98 Mbps Overall Average Speed = approx 5134 Kbps, 5.01 Mbps thats half of what im paying for... what's up with that? Thanks. edit i have the stand alone cable modem, its the ntl home:100. havent had many problems up until now... |
Re: Really poor speeds as of yesterday
I wouldn't complain too much, that's a lot better than a lot of people are getting. If I were you, I'd be grateful you had 10mb for so long :D NTL do say that it's "up to 10mb" I suppose.
