wrt54gs no internet access - fine from modem

Just got a WRT54GSv4, trying to set it up without success.

Going though the CD, select DHCP which I believe is right? .. then it asks for Host ID / Domain - if required ... what are these if I need them?

Without them I can go through the rest of setup but the router can't get an internet connection.

Can anyone help? :)

Edited to add: oops forgot to say ... I'm on telewest 10mb

Thanks
Matt

I was told no Host ID/Domain was needed by technical support, and indeed they were right.

DHCP is correct as well, as far as i'm aware.

When you've set this up, have you powered donw the modem and connected it all then re-powered it all back on, waiting a few minutes in between powering things up?

Thanks, got it sorted - I had rebooted the modem etc, but perhaps I didnt leave it long enough.

Just looking for the lanip setup now - trying to find a way to give some pcs static ips like I could on my netgear dg834g
