Reinstall Without Correct Connect
Hi All,
I am trying currently in vain over the phone (dont you just love relatives who think that you are their online support) to reinstall a connection to NTL on the Ambit Modem on Windows XP Home without correct connect. Xp Home with Ambit Modem and USB Connection. The PC has recently been reformatted and Correct Connect just been removed. Can anyone post a link or a guide on how to do this. I have not myself had much dealing with the new software as it was not around in my Techy Days. Any help appreciated. Cheers :D |

If they have the install CD run it again
If not, I think Robin explains it on his pages |
Re: Reinstall Without Correct Connect
make sure the CM is on, and USB plugged into both pc/cm.
insert our cd, but if the instal program starts up, exit it. go to device manager (start>control panel (in classic mode)>system>hardware>device manager) the usb will either be under 'network adapters' or other devices with a conflict (normally a question mark) alongside it. double click on it, and click on reinstall driver. go for an automatic install, select to search in the cd drive. if it fails to find it, the path to the driver is CDdrive:\drivers\ambit - browse to it and install... that should be job done :) |
