10mb connection

Totally bemussed
Wed, 3 May 2006 22:19:13 UTC

1st 512K took 3906 ms = 131.1 KB/sec, approx 1080 Kbps, 1.05 Mbps
2nd 512K took 2907 ms = 176.1 KB/sec, approx 1451 Kbps, 1.42 Mbps
3rd 512K took 2843 ms = 180.1 KB/sec, approx 1484 Kbps, 1.45 Mbps
4th 512K took 3688 ms = 138.8 KB/sec, approx 1144 Kbps, 1.12 Mbps

Overall Average Speed = approx 1290 Kbps, 1.26 Mbps

Been on 10mb since December, was upgraded from 3mb FOC and yet to see any speed increase. Tech support have told me there are issues which should be resolved shortly. That was over a month ago , so what now? they have put me on different server. Yes I get 6-7 mb for alittle while then back to 2 or less than 1mb

Help someone please
6 months @ £35 for a 1mb connection, ADSL gets more inviting everyday

Re: 10mb connection

had a similar prob here - 3mb to 10mb.
Modem just wouldn't see it. The only cure we could think of was to drop to 2mb for a month and then go back - and that worked...
