Page cannot be displayed

Hello all,

I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post on.

I'm an NTL customer and I'm having problems with 1 particular site:

http://195.224.238.131/apfw
Username: Alan Green
no password.

It is basically an online database.

I can login fine, change to a few different records(4 or 5), and then I recieve "Page cannot be found" and can't get any further.

From a non-NTL connection i've had no problems, is it something to do with the NTL proxies?

Anyone else experience these problems?

Thanks

James

A 'professional' website that gives me a rude 'unsupported browser' message because I use Firefox ... my inclination to help out is fading, I'm afraid.

Have you tried specifying an alternative proxy to see if your local one is b0rked?

Yeah, I wasn't too impressed with having to use IE either.

It'll only run on IIS too, to had extra insult.

I've tried to use some open proxies but can't find any stable enough.

Try choosing a different NTL Proxy on Port 8080, that could help

I can access it via an NTL account with no problem, I'm using IE. How can we see if we experience the same problem? The only way that I can see is to try and change entries like you are and then save them. Surely you don't want us to try that!! Also, was it wise to give out your password in a public forum? Asking for trouble if you ask me.

OK ........ using IE6 logged on and navigated up and down the records a few times then got the "Page cannot be Displayed message". Clicking the browser 'back' button allows me to navigate another 5 or so records and so on.

Strange. Almost like the server times out or gets fed up !

PS: I'm currently on a BT T3 connection.

When I first went to the the site, Netscape 8's auto sensing engine (it uses firefox to render a page, unless it is known not to be compativlw, in which case it uses IE) switched to IE. When I switched it back to Firefox, it worked. When I clicked Back, though, I got the ruse warning.
