blueyonder pc guard
sorry if this is in the wrong forum guys!
never know where to post these things. my sister is a new telewest broadband customer and just bought a new pc. because of the location of the pc she has to connect to the internet via a router which she did successfully. the problem is when setting up her connection it wanted her to download/install blueyonders pc guard (which she doesnt want to do as her pc came with norton internet security free). she clicked the cancel button to not install pc guard (which pops up) and thought that was that( as you would) but when she boots or reboots her pc she gets a pop up asking her to complete the installation and install pc guard. she doesnt want pc guard and her connection is fine but she wants rid of this coming up on boot. as a long standing telewest customer she has rung me to see if i can help but i have never used pc guard and installed my connection many years ago. does any 1 know how to get rid of this???? i am assuming that if she runs msconfig it could be unchecked in the start up but i dont know what the filename would be and she is a techno phobe 1st class and is wary of even attempting anything like that would any1 know the name or another method of removing this at start/boot up? also my norton subscription is due for renewal soon as a 10mb broadband customer i can have all the pc guard stuff for free...............is it any good? xander.:dunce: |
