vodafone call catcher!?

Hello!

Does anyone know anything about the above? I've been on contract with vodafone for almost 3 years now and today I seem to be subscribed to vodafone call catcher. Basically it sends you a text message if someone tries to call you whilst your pone is switched off, it tells you the name number, time and number of calls. I think it's actually quite good because usually you don't get to know about missed calls when your phone is switched off (really useful in my job cause mine is always off)!

Anyway what I want to know is, why have I suddenly got it today when I haven't subscribed and is there a monthly charge? I can't seem to get on the vodafone site as it's not loading properly!

The call catcher is free. It's on by default. And all Vodafone users are on it. If you go into the Vodafone website look under the calling and voicemail section.;)

Just for info you can activate and deactivate as follows. Although if you have voicemail active as I have you won't get this texting service.;) I'm on payg.;)

# To deactivate the service, call #148# followed by the 'send' key.
# To reactivate the service, call *148# followed by the 'send' key.
# To check your Call Catcher staus, call *#148# followed by the 'send' key.

Does the Vodafone service work on contract phones even if you have voicemail active? The Orange service works like this.
