Hi I just downgraded from 2MB to 1MB

Hi I just downgraded from 2MB to 1MB because I donââ‚Âà ‚¬ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¾Ã‚¢t download much at all and browsing and game play seems the same. Its £7 saved for something I didnââ‚ ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢t use.

Anyway the modem reset itself and I take it these new settings are correct?

Maximum Downstream Data Rate : 1024000 bps
Maximum Upstream Data Rate : 100000 bps

thanks
Sav.

I did the same. At first we had 2 meg BB from ntl and tv and phone were sky - that was 24.99/mo.
Now were on all 3 for £33 which is pretty good, gaming is fine on 1 meg, I thought it would be laggy due to upload being onlt 10k but its fine (CSS)

Are you nearing the end of your contract? Cause I think I am for broadband (not 100% sure) but not for TV and phone. Is there a 12 month contract for phone? Cause if there isnt I might call to cancel, see what happens.

Slightly off topic sorry, but I also rang CS, moaning that as I now use VOIP for telephone calls, I wanted to cancel the phone, knowing that it's part of the TV package.
I was told I couldn't, so I suggested that I will cancel phone and TV. They didn't want me to do that, (I also didn't want to do that!), and so as a result I now get £10.50 monthly reduction on my TV package, basically the phone line rental, and still keep the phone. :)

If they can do it for one customer they should do it for all.
