Belkin Wireless Adaptor (PCI)

God said "And let there be Belkin"... Noone ever remembers him saying "And let it be the worst company on earth"...

Ok, so, i finally found out what the bottleneck on my network is, it took several hours, unplugging, replugging, changing settings, moving PC's, moving routers, and reinstalling drivers. Until i found that one PC on the network was fine, asnd the other, simply hated connecting to the network correctly.

PC1: C&W USB2 Wireless Dongle.
PC2: Belkin F5D7000UK Wireless PCI Card.

PC2 has forever outperformed PC1 since i bought it, until, roughly 2 weeks ago, when i started to notice slowdowns on my network when using it. So, i replaced the router, checked all the cabling and checked wireless settings. I even restarted the router several times a day. But, to no avail.
I finally changed the Adaptor in PC2 to the one form PC1, and lo-and-behold, network issues are gone.

This means that today my Belkin F5D7000UK Card has died, it connects to the network at a maximum throughput of ~500kbps. It's the broadcom model, and i'm looking for new drivers just incase, as well as new firmware.
Could anyone help?

Oh, and i'd like to state, stay away from these card altogether, this one had barely lasted a year.

If i can't find any new firmware that illeviates my slow throughput, i'm buying another USB Dongle tomorrow.
Thanks for any help you guys (and gals).

Would be worth checking the Belkin websites for any downloads.

Looking at the product info page it has a lifetime warranty - if it's gone worng I'd expect tehm to replace it, unless you broke it doing something you shouldn't have :erm:

Links to lots of the Belkin variants of that card - none seem to show the UK bit though

Thankyou, the UK bit is the V2 bit ;) I knew there was another name for it. Sadly though, i have the latest drivers already.

So, i just need to get in touch with Belkin and explain myself? And they should either replace or refund it, sounds good, but i don't have the original packaging anymore, lost most of that kinda thing during the move from Sheffield to Doncaster.

EDIT: What does 3rd Party mean, i htink i bought the card from Comet, or Currys, somewhere like that, is that 3rd party?
