loss of connection

my 10meg with ntl keep downloading the dropping and saying connection lost what causes this problem?.

Could be many things including the site/ server you are downloading from, your PC set up, the connection itself, the weather etc.
More details needed I think :)

As Paul says, a few details would help us. What Operating System are you running? What messages are being displayed? What sites are you visiting? Do other sites work while the connection is dropped?

xp home and when i connect to lime wire and bit comet
