being installed modem type to expect?

Being connected next thursday.

going for 10Mb service.

what modem "should" i be supplied with. what gives best performance and reliability?

is there ones i should avoid?

I will make a very big point about getting the right modem.

And I will get what you guy's recommend if it is a current model. I can be very very persuassive and on a new install i have a little bit of leverage as if they do not supply what i want then i simply do not pay!

bear in mind this is a new install so presumably i should get the latest modem?

Moved to NTL Broadband support

I think NTL are currently installing NTL home 250s (which, IIRC, is the best modem anyway), but, I am sorry to say, you tend to get whatever the engineer has in the van.

i did think the 250 was the latest.

got a 200 in the loft that ntl didnt want back (i asked them 5 times if they wanted it back) think ill put it on a certain auction site!!

Is there any sites that list the tech spec of the 250?

glad someone moved this after i posted i realised i was on the wrong thread....
