Confused newbie
A foreign friend posted me a video clip of his town on a file share site but when I went to download it the page said my IP was already downloading from there. This had happened a few times I've tried but I wasn't previously downloading anything.
Does anyone please know what is happening with this? Cheers Sunny |

:welcome: to Cable Forum :D
I'd suspect the site you are connecting to is poorly coded. Ntl users are routed through proxy servers. Ntl do this as they claim it speeds things for most users and it also reduces the bandwidth over the external connections from ntl's networks to the big wide world svaing ntl money. Unfortunately badly coded sites only see the proxy IP (internet address), not your own IP. If somebody else (there can be hundreds of users connecting through one proxy, is also connecting to that poorly written site, you get conflicts. |
