False NTL phone bill charges

I have been charged for subcribing to an adult channel on NTL (on analogue...television X) 4 times this month at £7 a shot. This is impossible because I dont even know the pin of the box required to activate, and I wouldnt be interested in subcribing anyway. 1st question..has anybody else come across this problem of foney charges, and Q2., how did NTL deal with it, because surely it is their word against mine?

:welcome:

Are you in a VOD enabled area?

If so ntl have a tool which can check exactly what was watched (what time it was ordered, how long it was watched for etc etc).

Do you have more than one Set Top Box, or just one? Also do you have any teenage children who can have guessed the pin number? If you didn't change it yourself, then the it is likely to be the default of 0000.... horny teenages with internet access could probably find that out ;)

oops didn't read that very carefully... VOD isn't analogue is it :dunce:

not sure how it works for Analogue, but ntl should have a system for checking what was ordered and when... Second half of the above post still applies though!!

Hi Chris...No teenage interferance....single female here! Yes, I am not sure what VOD means, so I can't confirm if it applies to analogue

Hmm...

Well to be honest i'm not exactly sure how ordering events works on analogue tv so i'll wait for someone more knowledgable to come along :)

It could be argued that a person with trousers like that doesn't need an adult channel ;)

I have a female friend who also lives on her own, she to was on analouge and she had the same problem as you.

NTL made her pay and she left them!

She has been with sky ever since!
